Portrait Information

Portrait Process

The commission process is actually quite simple.

Sarah speaks/meets with the client(s), and together they come up with a vision for the art work.

Clients sometimes have an exact idea of how the finished piece will look, while others may ask her for suggestions until a final composition is worked out.

She is able to create commissions for clients around the world without having to meet them in person.

Sarah can work directly from photos (altering them as needed), or piece together images from different photos. She is able to incorporate imagination into the commission if required, and can paint or draw subjects from life.

Once a decision has been reached for the piece, both parties sign a simple contract outlining the size and due date etc. A fifty percent deposit is then given, and Sarah starts the work.

Once the client(s) are pleased with their commission, the remaining fifty percent is given.

Sarah has been creating portraiture for satisfied clients around the world for over twenty-five years. She uses only high quality materials in her work to ensure the commissions she creates (when reasonably cared for), can be enjoyed for generations.
